Information About Acquiring the Course E-Book
Hi class and welcome to this web-based course on quantitative social work research. We will be using an e-book written by William Trochim, entitled Research Methods Knowledge Base. This is a dynamic online book that has some interesting features. It will remember things such as where you left off and allow you to highlight sections that you thing are important. Some of the illustrations are animated and some unfold as you click. The e-book will also allow me to make a few notes or point out something to you in your edition. It is available strictly online or online and in print.
The publisher is Atomic Dog Publishing (513 333-0438 ext 8)
at www.atomicdog.com . It can
be purchased in two ways. The online version costs $19.95 US and the online and print version costs $44.95
US. To purchase, sign on to www.atomicdog.com
. Click on the “Students-Purchase/Activate Textbooks” link. On the next screen
type in the course ID which is 241245510310. My name and the course number
(ASR1001) will also appear. Select either the online or the online and text
option and don’t check the Book Activation Key. The Book Activation Key is not
relevant to the way you are purchasing the text. The Online Edition provides
web-only access, meaning you need to be connected to the internet in order to
view the book. The course does not require that you purchase the printed
text. The online edition is fine unless you prefer to have both. If you
select both, then you will need to select the shipping type. Select US
Postal Service Global Express Mail and not UPS Standard. Shipping is $17
I’m including the Publishers’ step-by-step instructions below for your reference if something isn’t clear.
